This is the result of my attempt at NaNoWriMo 2010. I failed to reach 50,000 words, ending up at around 28,000. But I did manage to produce a complete novella in that time. I have done no editing beyond fixing typos and a line or three here and there. I have made no changes after the end of November 2010.
So, yeah, other folks did manage to create a 50,000 word novel. But how many were foolhardy enough to actually post what they had at the end of the month? Not many, I'd bet!
Anyway, it's a half-assed SciFi story, with a horny captain, unusual aliens, and weird antagonists. I recently saw someone call a comic he was writing a Cupcake Comic,
easy to write, easy to read. This is definitely and defiantly a Cupcake Novella. I'll also add, along those lines, that it's only satisfying in a shallow way. Whaddaya want for 28,000 words spurted out in a month?
